Joo Chiat Road closes to cars for the afternoon and evening, and opens up to food, live music, wellness sessions, pets and games. Joo Chiat Street Social is the Katong-Joo Chiat Business Association's inaugural event, built around a voucher and rewards programme that brings visitors into our shophouses and keeps them coming back.
Whether you live around the corner or are visiting Katong-Joo Chiat for the first time, everything is free to walk in and enjoy. Bring the family, bring the dog, and stay for dinner.
Collect a Festival Pass from a participating merchant in the weeks before the event.
Redeem your pass perks at the counter, then join the games and challenges to win $5 vouchers.

Entry is free for everyone. A Festival Pass unlocks extra perks, and the games put $5 vouchers in your pocket to spend with our merchants.

About 1,000 passes are handed out through participating merchants three to four weeks before the event.

Yes — entry to Joo Chiat Street Social is completely free. The Festival Pass and vouchers unlock extra perks but aren't required to enjoy the day.
Absolutely. Cluster 03 near Dunman Road is dedicated to pets, with a play area, agility course, paw portraits and a pet-friendly marketplace. Please keep dogs leashed throughout the festival.
Joo Chiat Road closes to vehicles for the event, so the best way in is on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport. Plan to arrive before the road closure begins at 3:30pm if you're dropping off by car.
Participating merchants benefit from the foot traffic of the road closure, inclusion in the Festival Pass and voucher redemption programme, and a listing in the festival's merchant directory. KJCBA members can register a booth — get in touch to find out more.
The festival will proceed in light rain. In the event of severe weather, updates on postponement or programme changes will be shared through KJCBA's channels.
